Nearly 200,000 people viewed the article that I wrote about using the Vista Transformation Pack 4 to make your Windows XP look like Vista. Windows X’s Shrine is at it again with the new Vista Transformation Pack 5.
Several of the visual updates that it received were done to match the latest build, Vista 5472, that had been released to testers. One thing that is kinda cool with this version is that you can slipstream the Vista Transformation Pack into the Windows installation process. It also looks like several uninstall problems were fixed which will make people happy that had installed the Vista Transformation Pack and then decided to uninstall it only to find that it didn’t completely uninstall itself. Checkout the whole changelog for more details on what’s new.
You can download it from RapidShare (which you will have to wait 1 minute before the download will start) or you can download it directly from their Web site. I am sure there will be a lot of people downloading directly from them so you may be better off using RapidShare.

Thanks for the info!
If I download the pack and install it, could I just uninstall it if I don’t like it and have it not look like Vista anymore?
Technically it should work that way
. The last version received a lot of complaints about it not uninstalling properly but I haven’t brought myself up to test this version out.
I was able to uninstall the last version without any problems so I would think this one should be fine.
Awesome, can’t wait to give this one a try.
Does anyone know if there is a Winamp skin to do the same? WMP11 is better than 10 but I’m still not a fan of its bloated media library – the only good feature is the smooth integration with the Vista theme.
what’s the program that rounds the top of the start button?
Oh _I remember this transformation pack , v4 literaly f***off my PC, And I will not take the risk of install a new version..
I have problem with “transformation pack 5.0″ on startup my PC show this message ][img][img124.imageshack.us][/img]
Maybe some one know how I can take away this problem! :grinn:
You get that error everytime you start your PC?
That’s just the thing it runs the first time you run it. If it’s displaying every time your PC starts, I would suggest booting to safe mode, removing the pack and trying again. If it does the same thing then something in your PC is not saving settings properly, or maybe you don’t have the correct user rights for the Windows files to be modified.
