I actually don’t put the Wii-mote in the same category as standard ones, and as such I don’t compare it to them either. The Wii-mote is a completely different experience, and should be treated as such.

You think? Really? The Wii is insanely better than the GameCube was. Nintendo just kept getting weaker while their competition kept getting stronger. Now, they’re finally being original in the hardware department again, and releasing some of their best titles ever (I’m a Twilight Princess freak).

Are you serious? You’re talking to a user of all three here. You sound insane to me right now. The GameCube had some great games like Windwaker and SSBM, and some good games like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but these were in the minority. Actually, any game for the GameCube was in the minority. It had no selection compared to the PS2. The PS2 had so many amazing exclusives my hands would fall off trying to type them all out. I’m not even going to name a few because it would do injustice to so many others. The XBOX had Halo, which is enough in my book, and for cross-platform games, its titles usually turned out the best (like Psychonauts).

Alright. That’s it. You’re too far gone now. The GameCube’s controllers were the second-worst in modern gaming history, only superior to the N64 controller. The layout makes absolutely no sense, and I always find myself hitting that GIANT A-button. The best controller I’ve seen is the 360’s by far.

Oh, as a final note, as I’ve said before, the PS3’s sales will eventually begin to rise, though only after a price cut and the good games like FFXIII and GTAIV come out. The 360’s sales are about where they always will be from now on, unless MS releases a hardware revision, which would lead to a temporary spike. You will also notice a climb when Halo 3 releases, though that will be very short.

I remember about a year ago at my local EB they had a sign up next to all the PS2’s saying something like “If you bought a PS2 and it broke, trade in the broken PS2 and for only $100 we’ll swap it for a refurbished PS2.” It said it like it was some kind of good deal, too. It really made me think less of the quality of the console (not that I liked it anyway). Playstation has GTA (and now also XBOX) and XBOX has Halo, otherwise I don’t think they’re all they’re cracked up to be. Also, I liked the Gameube controllers best. PS puts the analog stick in the wrong spot, and the original XBOX controllers were TOO BIG. They did eventually realize this, though, and replace them with the small controller.

I don’t understand why everyone thought Nintendo was in the dumps (until the wii)? I’d much rather play N64 than PS1 and I prefer GameCube to PS2

I first had a PS1, but really wanted a Nintendo 64. Then I bought the Xbox when it came out. At the time I worked at a retail store in the electronics department and there just wasn’t as much excitement over the Gamecube. From the video game and system sales the Gamecube only made up about 10% where Xbox and PS2 were about 45% each.

I only knew a handful of people that actually owned a Gamecube, and most of them owned all three (Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2). Most of their time was spent playing either Grand Theft Auto on PS2 or Halo on Xbox.

Yeah I know what you mean, I had gotten the PS2 first and they the darn think broke on me, so went out got a GameCube. The GC had many fun games and I still play them, even though I bought another PS2 (once the slime line came out) I still played more games on the GC. Now that I replaced my GC with a Wii that is all I play games on.

Oh BTW I hope you find a Wii soon as it is a fun system and has many games that are fun, and may games that look like it would fun coming out.
