We used to have the entire ESET-Suite. For once I felt safe. Then one day a window popped up stating that “Vista Security required immediate attention.” My sister pushed the cancel button — since she knew we didn’t have Vista Security, but it was too late. Within hours the internet stopped working. Soon programs stopped working and all the install/repair files were corrupted.

We had just paid for 2 years worth of ESET and asked if they would refund the unused portion of our subscription. They refused, saying that ‘All sales were final – no refunds’.

They may have the best security system, but their customer service sucks. We paid over $120 for a system that failed us!

So you see, ESET:evil: not only failed us once, but twice.

I suggest you begin to do research so you understand what Antivirus and AntiSpyware software is. How the “virus” are divided into certain types/groups. Nod32 and even Smart Security for the most part are Antivirus software that isn’t the best at stopping browser/internet born infections due to spyware, rogues etc.
If you are in need of spyware protection I suggest you get a copy of SuperAntiSpyware and also runs scans from time to time with MalwareBytes

Is it safe to use a beta as i need some protection and the beta of eset is free and a lot better than avg free!!!

I’ve never had any troubles with Eset Beta releases in the past, so you should be fine.
