Seeing the kind of limitations that the apple iphone has, iam sure nokia will come out with a winner. Nokia has been finland’s pride for long now, and this would be another quality product. Would love to see Nokia knock the sox out of arrogant Apple.

Nokia do have a pretty good handle on smartphones. N95 being a fantastic example. Thats a great phone. If they could get some of the N95 functionality into the touch screen phone then they have a winner.

S60 has had touchscreen support for along while but no phone utilises it. Having said that i expect alot of 3rd party software to be inconsistent at first while they get used to another UI. With this Nokia will have a strong presence in all 3 UI areas: one hand, keyboard and now Touchscreen.

Anyone saying that Nokia can’t compete has a thing or two to learn. Nokia has been in the mobile device market for a long time now, and they know what people want. Nokia will find a way to make this device as close to the iPhone as possible, all while keeping it at a more reasonable price (definitely under $400 I would say).

LOL…I was actually kinda surprised at the interface. But then again the iPhone did get the interface part right even a baby can use it ([youtube.com]). Well just have to wait and see if Nokia does a good job with this one, and have as many carriers carry this phone than just one.

Aha, you really can’t copy and paste on the iPhone. I thought there had to be a way. It would be really useful. I also found it hard to modify the end of a very long URL -can’t get to it easily. I don’t have an iPhone (or a cell phone), I just tried it at the Apple store.
