It was advertised as having a 12 hour battery life, which would be enough. The problem is that I only ever got just a little over 8 hours. When I talked with tech support, they would not do anything because they said they only guarantee 8 hours. For me that is not enough as I sometimes put in 10 hours on a ride.I ended up selling it on eBay and got what I paid for it. They are coming out with the Edge 705 (https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=160&pID=10885) which has "full" GPS support with turn by turn directions. I will have to seriously look into it as that would be great for riding in new areas.

My biggest concern with this being a Garmin product would be with the battery life.

The best bicycle computer I have ever owned was the Garmin Edge 305 ([buy.garmin.com]), however, it sucked when it came to battery life.
