That, and this is the darkness before the dawn. Things are bad now, but they WILL get better.

There are an insane amount of file sharing sites popping up these days. I just don't think any of them can replace the community that Demonoid built.

Isn’t that like saying: “RIAA, please do come shut us down!” :)

We'll they are just strings of text, so that's what I'll call them. If people happen to copy the strings of text onto the Demonoid invite form then that is just a coincidence. ;)

That's an interesting concept. It may just end up resulting to that. ;)

I thought that as well until I started using Demonoid. The quality of the torrents on there are much higher quality, and people are good about seeding.

I lived in Detroit Michigan my entire life. Windsor Ontario is just a jump across the river for us, and I have to say that Canadian authorities are very relentless when it comes to being the strong arm of the law. It's like they feel they have something to prove because the rest of the world thinks their a bunch of whimps. Most people think of Canada as being this lovey dovey land with extremely polite people, and don't get me wrong they are very polite. But don't piss them off because they can be real bastards. When it comes to policing they make the United States look like hall monitors.

Having said all that. What Demonoid needs to do is partner with some servers in a far off land that can't be influenced by anyone. Hey! Who with me, let's buy some solar panel and setup shop under the mango tree in the middle of the Amazon jungle?
