Omar,

I agree with you that Opera does handle itself very nicely and does have a lot of functionality right out of the box, but it does have a lot of incompatability with GMail. Many web users have a GMail account, and currently Opera does not support GMail at all. When trying to go to my GMail account Opera freezes up. I was really excited to play with the new Opera and all, don't get me wrong, but not having GMail compatability (especially with the new chat feature) really bums me out.

I had that same idea about not using any other browser except Firefox until I downloaded Opera 9 Build 8212 (Beta).

It's fast, small, and with the same features I have in my Firefox. I've been using Opera for two whole days days and don't miss Firefox at all.

You can download Widgets, just like Apple Dashboard or Yahoo Konfabulator. It let's you download a speller to help you out with your blog, just like Spellbound in Firefox.

When you hover your mouse over an open tab, you can see a thumbnail image of that page, just like Microsoft IE 7 Beta 2 browser. Pretty neat.

I have to admit I have an emotional attachment to Firefox, but truth be told, Opera will have a place in my computer.

Just my two cents worth,

Cheers,

Omar.-
