Digital picture frames are a great way to showcase your photo library, but some people think that they need enormous memory cards so that they don’t have to constantly swap out images. The photos taken with a digital camera are often very high resolution, and can therefore limit how much you can fit onto a card. The good news is that you can cram a lot more images on a memory card if you resize them down to the exact resolution your frame supports.
FotoFrame is the perfect app to accomplish that. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of bulk image resizers out there, but this one really focuses on digital picture frames. After you select the folder where your images are stored you can choose the resolution of your frame. Then it’s just a matter of kicking off the conversion process.
The reason why this isn’t a full-blown image resizer is that you have to choose from one of the 5 preset sizes: 320×234, 480×234, 640×480, 800×600, and 1024×768. You’re a bit out of luck if you were looking to have a different resolution than what it has listed, but remember that this is trying to keep it simple for those who want to optimize their photos only for picture frames.
