I'm uncertain whether they still keep it in some sort of recycle bin, but it probably lessens the time they have it for. Not only can the information help find terrorists and such, but it can also help improve the search engines. I agree that I don't want avg joe who likes to pirate some music and maybe an application every now and then being hunted down. On the other hand, this info could be very useful in finding terrorist suspects. I just think the gov't should use this info to protect us, not go after us.
