If you view your Google Personalised Search History you can remove any item you want. I'm uncertain whether they still keep it in some sort of recycle bin, but it probably lessens the time they have it for.

Even 13 months is a long time. And yes iam concerned about privacy, even more so since the AOL mishap. Thank You Pieter For blackboxsearch.com. But that black background search box is a little disturbing.

Until AskEraser goes live, I'm going to use Yahoo. Through BlackboxSearch.com of course, a site that removes all the tracking stuff. :D

Yeah, I still use Gmail (because I don't want to switch, they got me hooked!). However, it's easy to use a different search engine, so that's what I'm do. Every tiny bit helps breaking Google's monopoly! ;)

I agree with you. Not only can the information help find terrorists and such, but it can also help improve the search engines. I'm one of those people who almost always join the programs where you opt-in to make the user experiences better...such as in Windows.

I think people worry too much about privacy. I agree that I don't want avg joe who likes to pirate some music and maybe an application every now and then being hunted down. On the other hand, this info could be very useful in finding terrorist suspects. I just think the gov't should use this info to protect us, not go after us.
