Hello Ryan! Thanks for the post about the extension! It is still in very early stages yet but I’m already working into new features for it, specially the customization, which people have been asking.

Thanks for the update! I’m sure it will become a great extension once you get some of those customization options in there.

the original idea was to focus on the visual identity side of the thing, associating the icons you choose to the sites you bookmark. The name of the tag is just a mere formality. For example, you could use the “gears” icon creatively to associate it with bookmarks related to your work.
But since many people is interested in naming the tags for each icon, I’ll soon release a version which offers this customization.. Later on I’ll also add the possibility to add more icons and to choose which icons will display by default when you hover the mouse.
So just keep an eye on the extension’s news!

well, that makes a lot more sense, and i didn’t think of it as visual tagging. i guess its just a matter of using icons that make sense to as many users as possible.
i wonder if mozilla will pick up on this idea or not.
good luck with the extension, i will give it another go once i can relate to the icons as well.

i will wait for the next version, or for FF 3.1 which suppose to have auto-completion for tags. in fact, mozilla ppl should use this idea, but with customization in mind.
