You've certainly checked one day in Process Explorer the option for it to replace Task Manager. Just uninstall Process Explorer from your pc, then restart, right-click your bottom toolbar on a free space, choose Task Manager fom the context menu you'll see, and if nothing else happened to TM, you just should be done.

It completely disables the right-click menu? That doesn't sound right. Maybe you should report that as a bug.

Yeah, this is one of those programs that never really leaves my computers. I just stick it in a folder, set it to replace the Task Manager, and then take it for granted everytime I use it to shutdown a program or see what's hoggin' my memory.

Sounds like Christmas came early this year. :)

For kicks I ran it on my XP system and looked for the option. It was there.

For kicks I enabled it…then closed out Process Explorer and then did the traditional Microsoft three finger salute Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Imagine my delight when Process Explorer popped right up.

Thanks for highlighting the feature. I’ll be setting this option on all my XP/Vista systems!</blockquote></div>
I didn't mean to imply that it was for Vista only, but I'm glad you enjoy the new Process Explorer. Just wait until you've grown accustomed to it, and then you go to use someone else's computer that doesn't have this.
