In Africa its the mining companies and the tinpot imbiciles they pop up as “presidents’ and “Prime ministers” Asian nations and their citizens are too busy making money to bother eitherway.Its high time the “free” citizens of the West realize that they are not “free” at all…. Hitler and Stalin had not a fraction of the information and control over their citizens as have modern day “democratic” leaders.Do you guys actually beleive you had a voice that could be heard?….little bird just told me they brought down the lime wire p2p a few hours ago.Naturally someone “beleived” all the content there was “copyrighted” .Bravo!
The RIAA gang once tried getting legistlation quietly pinned to other proposed “patriotic” legislation (at the height of America’s war hysteria) making it legal for them to hack into and wipe out “pirated” material from anyone’s computer, with a protective (to them) clause for any “inadvertant” loss of your data.The bucks weren’t sufficient so that failed.Now this ..I wonder what next

This could be unavoidable if the RIAA pressured the federal government with their lobbyists and billions of dollars into making it a REQUIREMENT that anti virus companies include anti piracy apps as well.

You must remember that the RIAA has billions of dollars at their disposal to push for these types of things.

This is already happening people AVG is Doing this!!!
they are trying to scare people from pirating with
this virus crap I installed a legal program the other day
and it said I had a virus off OEM software?

that is when I googled this subject and sure enough!

I use deep freeze now screw the anti-virus companies

I think most people would even run Windows without antivirus software before they would install something that blocked piracy. That’s some serious privacy issues there.

i think trying to find logic behind this is funny because this whole thing is freaking illogical. How can an AV or any filter for that matter knows the difference between pirated music vs paid drm-free music from online stores?

Whoever in the RIAA that came up with this has absolutely no clue how computers and programming work. idiots.

Now why would anyone pay for a anti virus that would remove some of their favourite music. Well one thing that the RIAA should realize is that it would be next to impossible to completely eradicate piracy. And foolish steps steps like these would not help at all.
