I just looked at the release notes too and saw that ;)

I actually wasn't expecting it to be announced as Vista compatible but reading that made me very very happy.

I just looked at the release notes on Nero's website and it does say that it is Vista ready. It's also only $79.99 online.

Here is the quote from their website.

Version number 7.5.7.0

Release Date: 2006-10-16
New Features

    * Vista Ready

I will have to look into this new version of Nero that you say is out. Thanks for the info.

Ryan, I had Nero installed and working fine ever since I installed RC1 of Vista. However, I had to uninstall it with RC2 and have yet to try to re-install it. I also have a friend that installed it and it works for him as well on RC1.

It is a lie. Roxio did NOT work with Vista at the time they said it did. Later Vista builds resolved an issue that prevented online registration with Roxio (there is no way they tested it with RC1 as was claimed on their site) which prevented launching apps. However, it still does not install without errors and half the apps won't run at all in Vista without crashing. Nero now has a Vista compatible version out (7.5.7.0) and it works great.

I used to use Roxio all the time as my defacto standard burning program. However, I converted over to Nero, which I think is a better program, IMHO.
