It really protects it against scratches, I've dropped the poor thing a few times and it continues unscathed! HIGHLY recommended. I once had one on my 1st gen nano's and was selling it to a coworker. I took off the skin and she was like "whoa, looks like new, not a scratch". I never did tell her about it haha. I’ve used these (and continue to) with my iPod (x2). For sure this is a very interesting solution. I'm currently using one which uses rubber for the back and sides (so it can handle falling easily too) and transparent plastic on the front, but you hardly recognize it as a beautiful iPod anymore :P That’s what I wondered as well Ryan. Here in India, we get a similar kind of protective shield for cellphones. It's way cheaper that Invisible shield, so I'm not sure, if its the same.
