Taking digital pictures is becoming an essential part of our lives, especially on vacation. Sometimes it’s hard to get that perfect picture without all the tourists in it. Just as you think everyone is cleared out of your shot, another person goes strolling by. How frustrating! Snapmania.com which is known as being an online photo manager has come up with a way to remove unwanted objects from your photos. It’s called ‘Tourist Remover‘ and it’s free!
It’s actually a pretty simple process. All you have to do is take multiple photos (around 3-10) of the same scene. The Tourist Remover uses the pictures you’ve taken to reconstruct a new photo, but without all of the unwanted objects. They recommend using a tripod for the best results. Check out their gallery for some examples of what they can do!
I personally haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds like an easy way to edit your photos and get rid of the unnecessary “stuff”! Pretty neat.

Yep that’s pretty cool… It reminds me of one of those “PhotoStitching Programs” I tried a few years back for making panorama’s…
I think that it is pretty cool, too. I haven’t been able to give it a try because I don’t have enough of a photo taken from the same spot. I will keep this in mind when I am on my next vacation though!

if i remember correctly (i do remember, [research.microsoft.com]), microsoft released such a tool not so long ago (also free), which uses the same idea – having a few photos taken at the same angel.
their tool helps you create the perfect group picture. but not only.
