At the time I had to link to the hourly Tinderbox because it was not in the nightly yet.

*mutters* linking to the hourly tinderbox (http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Tinderbox) again are we? ..when if you must get casual Firefox users using nightlies the http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8.0/ will be much much safer.

The current Aug.17 has the annoying tabbar where it is a light colour for Windows/Linux users no matter the OS theme so I manually went back to the Aug.16 nightly until this is fixed.

One thing I would really like to see...

Is that *Wasted Space* to the right of *Help* filled in with some of these "Extensions"...

There is no need to take up more space if there is some that can be used...

Go Figure...

Hey Max,

I guess I didn't think of the obvious thing for you to do. If you still have the old Firefox Portable Beta 1 folder you can copy the FirefoxPortable.ini file from that one, which is located in the same directory as FirefoxPortable.exe, and paste it into the same directory of the version you just downloaded. That way you don't have to really configure the file, although it might come in handy to know that at sometime.

Well, to make a long story short the developer of Firefox Portable had contacted me and said that I wasn't allowed to distribute it with the "Multiple Instances" option enabled. He has been working with Mozilla because of trademark issues (hence the name change to Firefox Portable).

If you want to make it possible to run multiple instances it is pretty easy. Follow these instructions that I put together awhile ago and anywhere that it says "PortableFirefox" just replace it with "FirefoxPortable". Number 1 on the list needs to be set to true, and if you want to disable the splash screen you can do that by setting number 3 to true.

Let me know if you need any clarification.

Just downloaded this and loaded my profile into it, but I'm having some trouble. When I have my regular installed Firefox 1.5.0.6 open, I used to be able to open FirefoxPortable2 (Beta 1) alongside it. Now, it says that another instance of Firefox is running, and I'm only able to open one or the other. Do you know why this is so?
