Web-Based Photoshop Express Launches

As expected, Adobe has officially entered the World of online applications. Adobe is known best for their desktop software like their photo editing solutions (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements, etc.), and so it makes sense that their first web-based application is a basic version of Photoshop called Photoshop Express.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Stonehenge

I was quite surprised today when I saw an email in my Inbox letting me know that Adobe Photoshop CS4 (codename Stonehenge 11.0) has been leaked. I checked some of the BitTorrent sites and it does indeed look like it is available to anyone that wishes to download it.

Adobe Air-based Xdrive Desktop Lite Launches

Adobe AIR 1.0 has officially shipped and now we're already starting to see applications built with the new platform. One such application is AOL's Xdrive Desktop Lite. It was designed for uploading and downloading files from AOL's Xdrive storage solution.  As a quick reminder, Xdrive is a service that allows users to store (for free) 5GB worth of data.

Adobe Flash Player Now With H.264 (HD quality)

Just the other day Adobe released Flash Player 9.0.115.0, and the most notable feature is the new H.264 (HD quality) video support. I don't think that many people would argue that Google Analytics is among the best visitor tracking solutions available, but one of the problems is that you're restricted to viewing the stats in your browser. The Analytics Reporting Suite will be the first program to bring Google Analytics, in its entirety, outside of your browser and on to your desktop!

Online Photoshop Express Image Editor

Adobe announced back in March that they intended to create an online Photoshop that is geared towards home and casual computer users. The solution that they came up with, called Photoshop Express, will offer a simplistic interface that is free for everyone to use. However, it will be ad supported (I'm guessing that's what the box in the bottom-right corner of the screenshot is for).

New Image Scaling Working Demo

Last week we wrote about a break-through image scaling technology that took into account the content of the photo. The video demonstration that they provided was, in my opinion, nothing short of astonishing. Now one-week later we have a scaled down (no pun intended) Flash version created by a third-party.
