Amazon MP3 Downloader Available for Linux

Amazon MP3 has been getting a lot of great reviews for their 100% DRM-free music service that's been offered since September 2007. They actually have a rather large selection of music, and being able to play it on any of your devices without restrictions is a huge plus. And you don't pay any more for music from Amazon than you do on iTunes.

Jungle Disk: Online Backups Using Amazon S3

I get asked all of the time what I believe is the best backup service, and the answer typically varies depending on the needs of the person. Some people need a lot of storage but not a lot of bandwidth, or visa versa. When you're considering what backup service to use I recommend checking out Jungle Disk, which in a way offers the best of all worlds.

People like DRM-free because it means once they download a song or album, they can play the song on multiple devices. When Amazon's service launched, it got rave reviews.

Steve Jobs Attacks Kindle & Android

The New York Times managed to get some time with Steve Jobs yesterday after his keynote, and there were some interesting remarks in the interview from Jobs. Apparently his mother never taught him that if he didn't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all.

From the sounds of it, Amazon is hoping that consumers will trade their loyalty with discount warehouses like Sam's Club and Costco for the opportunity to have household items delivered to their door.A fairly new service called 'Subscribe & Save" from Amazon will allow consumers to subscribe to an item and have it automatically delivered every 1, 2, 3, or 6 months.

Vote for Insane Amazon Deals

Just like last year, Amazon is running their "Amazon Customers Vote" event in which customers browse through six rounds of different products priced at insanely low prices, and then vote for the product they'd want to buy. Whichever product wins each round with the most customer votes will be sold randomly to people who voted for the item.

Amazon Launches Wireless Portable Reading Device

After three years in the making, Amazon has launched a wireless portable reading device called Kindle which they hope can improve "the book." When I saw the price tag that read $399, I couldn't help but initially think "who's going to buy this at that price." After reading about all that Kindle has to offer, I could easily see this turning into a "must-have" for book enthusiasts and something people would be willing to spend the money on.

HP MediaSmart Price, Release Date, & Pictures

Isn’t it great when sites like Amazon are given information regarding a product, and they publish the details right away. I think Amazon is known for leaking pricing and release dates of items, and they’re at it again with the HP MediaSmart Home Server.
