Amazon Launches Wireless Portable Reading Device

After three years in the making, Amazon has launched a wireless portable reading device called Kindle which they hope can improve "the book." When I saw the price tag that read $399, I couldn't help but initially think "who's going to buy this at that price." After reading about all that Kindle has to offer, I could easily see this turning into a "must-have" for book enthusiasts and something people would be willing to spend the money on.

Apple Drops iTunes Plus Prices to 99 Cents!

Oh the benefits of competition are a sweet thing, really! It took Apple approximately three weeks to respond to the launch of Amazon's DRM-Free Music Store. It was a simple as this- Amazon started selling DRM-free songs for 89 cents to a maximum of 99 cents while Apple's iTunes was selling DRM-free songs for $1.29.

Amazon’s DRM-Free Music Store Gets Rave Reviews

It's been about a day since Amazon launched the Public Beta of their DRM-Free Music store called Amazon MP3, and so far the reviews are extremely positive and users are happy with the ease of use, and the prices. Their slogan is "Play Anywhere, DRM-Free Music Downloads" but they should have added "for cheap" on to it.

Forbes has released their list of the 400 richest Americans where this year, even one BILLION dollars wasn't enough to land you on the list.  As we've heard, the rich are getting richer with the minimum net worth on this list being $1.3 billion dollars compared to $300 million last year.

When I think of Amazon, I automatically think of books. I can’t help it. I’m still stuck on their early days when they were known as online bookstore. They’ve certainly expanded to sell just about everything possible these days from housewares and electronics to clothing and furniture.
