It's April first today, and most of you know what that means. It means practical jokes and hoaxes! All around the web, lots of sites are getting in on the fun and so we thought we'd do a round-up of our favorites. You may re-call some of last year's favorites like Gmail Paper Unlimited or Free TiSP Broadband Internet from Google or ThinkGeek stating they were shipping the iPhone.
Matt Cutts is a senior engineer over at Google and knows a lot about search engine optimization (SEO). He is always trying to give people tips on how to make their sites better for search engines, but it looks like the dark side has gotten into his site:

A Microsoft TechNet blog has posted instructions on how you can enable a hidden feature in Virtual PC 2007 so that you can actually run Mac OS X on your Windows Operating System. All you have to do is pull up the Run prompt and enter this into it:

Everyone was skeptical that The Pirate Bay would find a new home to circumvent their legal woes, but North Korea appears to be their new hiding spot. The Pirate Bay Blog had this to say about their upcoming move:
The iPhone is one gadget that people don’t like to be fooled about, but ThinkGeek has stepped up to try and frustrate some people. For starters they have 8 gadgets on the homepage that are sure to give you some laughs:
Slashdot has officially started competing with Digg by implementing a new rating system called Slashdottit. It also appears that Slashdot has a much larger community of voters than Digg because their first story already has 6*1023 votes!
I was just at the Google homepage when I noticed yet another April Fools Joke, this time it is called Google TiSP (Toilet Internet Service Provider). You can view the press release for more details, but I think this pretty much sums it up:
