About two weeks ago we gave you a heads up that Flock 2.0 Beta was coming, and there was a lot of excitement surrounding the release since it's based on Firefox 3.0. VLC is an incredibly popular cross-platform media player, and it's well known for supporting a wide variety of media types. iPhone and iPod Touch users can rejoice because a public version of VLC4iPhone is right around the corner! Work has already begun on porting the popular VLC media player over to Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch, and the progress looks great.

With the Firefox 3 release right around the corner I thought this would be a good time to look over the extensions available, and see which ones haven't been updated. There's actually a descent amount that still need to be updated before they will work with the final release, but if you look around many have pre-release versions that they are getting ready to roll out.

Mozilla is hard at work getting ready for the launch of Firefox 3, and another Release Candidate is scheduled to be available tomorrow. They are still planning for a June launch of the next major milestone, and there is a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the release. One thing you don't want to forget about is the Flock browser that is based upon Firefox!

Yahoo Messenger 9 Beta has been in production for months, and yesterday it received and update that provides even more improvements and features. One of the things that really caught my attention in their demonstration video was the Flickr and YouTube integration, which automatically converts hyperlinks into embedded media.
