Bill Gates gave his last Keynote address at CES 2008 last night, but there was really only one good part to it. Gates put together a video of what he thought it would be like on his last day of work, and a bunch of celebrities got involved to make it something I probably won't forget. Since we've already shown you the video, we'll now take a look at some of the things he discussed in the keynote.
One of my favorite events of the year is the Bill Gates Keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). That's typically where he shows off gadgets that many of us know are like 20+ years away, but it's cool to watch nonetheless. One such example is the technologically advanced bedroom that Gates demonstrated at CES 2007, which is pictured above.

Forbes has released their list of the 400 richest Americans where this year, even one BILLION dollars wasn't enough to land you on the list. As we've heard, the rich are getting richer with the minimum net worth on this list being $1.3 billion dollars compared to $300 million last year.
Bill Gates is known as the World’s richest man (although he was recently de-throned), yet most people really don’t know a whole lot about the name and face behind Microsoft. It’s hard to believe that it has already been a year since the announcement that Bill Gates would be giving up his duties at Microsoft to devote time to the Bill and Melinda Foundation which focuses on public health and the reformation of education in the U.S.
Microsoft announced that if everything goes according to plan (like that ever happens in the world of software) then Windows 7 will be available sometime in 2010. That gives Microsoft more than three years to round up all of their new features, plan them out, develop them, and test them.
Bill Gates must be seeing $$ signs after Microsoft announced that they had a reported $13.37 BILLION in revenue for the quarter ending on June 30th. And for their fiscal year which just wrapped up, their reported revenue was $51.12 billion, a 15% increase from last year!
After 13-years, Bill Gates is no longer considered the world’s richest man. Carlos Slim is his replacement, and it comes as no surprise as he is a Mexican telecommunications leader with a bank-busting net worth of $67.8 billion.
There are some big things going on at the D Conference, with the highlight being the meeting of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates for a chat conducted by Walt Mosberg and Kara Swisher. Before I get to talking about the main event, lets take a look at some of the other things that had been going on there.
