Mozilla is on the verge of releasing Firefox 3.1 Beta 2, and it's quite possible that in the next month or two the final version will be pushed out the door. A major new release like this means that some of your favorite extensions might not be working, and Mozilla doesn't want that to happen.

Mac only Interestingly enough Microsoft has released Office 2008 Service Pack 1 today for Macs. What's interesting about that? Well, it is one of the fastest turnarounds for a Service Pack that I've ever seen. The suite of applications was just released back in January 2008, and here we are four months later with a Service Pack.

There has been a lot of buzz in the last week regarding OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta. Some people are excited with the new features that it brings to the table, while others are a little disappointed that the interface didn't get much of a facelift. Microsoft has obviously observed the request from users to bypass the User Account Control (UAC) prompts for specific applications. Just a few days ago they posted instructions on how to get around UAC prompts and a per application basis.
