If there's one thing that I can give Microsoft credit for it's getting me excited about the future of technology. Even though Bill Gates disappointed me with his "future" segment at CES 2008, I would say that Microsoft has redeemed themselves with a presentation that they gave at MIX08.

The MacBook Air is So Thin…

that it mistakenly got thrown out! Gone, forever, in the land of stinky garbage. Apple has described what they've done with the MacBook Air as Thinnovation, introducing it as the world's thinnest notebook. It sure is thin, ranging in size from 0.16 inches to 0.76 inches, not even a full inch at its thickest point. Of course its size is a huge advantage, but it will also be its disadvantage.

Best Buy Loses Computer, Woman Files $54 Million Lawsuit

If you were to take your computer to a repair shop and they ended up losing it, what would you say is fair compensation? I'd say at least the amount it cost to purchase the laptop in the first place, and then maybe a little extra to cover the hassle and time it took to get it replaced would be fair.

It looks as though Seagate has dug themselves a small hole, and is having a hard time getting out of it.
