I always loved the way that Apple handled the virtual desktop interface, and even though they simplified the usage in the latest version of Mac OS X it still has some of the intuitive drag-and-drop ease that Spaces offered on past versions of the OS.

One of the features I'm excited about in Windows 8 is the built-in multi-monitor Taskbar support. Microsoft finally got around to adding a Taskbar that stretches across all of your monitors, but for people running another version of Windows can always fallback to the free ZBar utility that does the same kind of thing.
We've covered some apps that will wrap around your mouse when it reaches the left or right side of the screen, but Mousinity is one of the first we've seen to do all four sides of the screen. That means it can jump from the left and right sides, but also from the top and bottom.
One of the annoyances that has been in Windows for awhile is the after-affects that can occur after you disconnect a second monitor. Many times the windows that are off-screen will become "unreachable," and moving them back to the primary monitor can be difficult. Most apps even try to remember their last-used position, which means restarting the program doesn't even fix the problem.
