This was surely a long time coming, but it looks like there is a real add-on available for users who want to download BitTorrent files in Firefox. Previously we had reviewed FoxTorrent that worked as expected, but it had to install an additional application that was used to do the dirty work.
Alright, many of us have been waiting for Mozilla to get Places into the Firefox Alpha releases and it has finally happened. Alpha 5 comes to us one-week late, but marks the beginning of Places which could end up being a beautiful thing.
The release of Firefox 3 is expected to be later this year, and with it will come new features and possibly even a new look. The user interface just got revamped last fall for the release of Firefox 2, so are Firefox users ready for another change?

There has been some good news lately on the progress of Firefox 3. Mozilla was able to get the backend of Places back into the latest nightly releases, but as of right now you won’t notice many differences.

Mozilla has just released the English version of Firefox 3 Alpha 2 (codename Gran Paradiso) and it is the first release of Firefox that passes the Acid 2 test. Well, it is still a pre-release version but it is on its way to be the final version that will be released later this year.
Google has finally brought the Google Toolbar 3 out of Beta for all Firefox users. Yes, you heard me right...Google took a product out of Beta! I guess they do periodically remove services from the Beta stage, but it a rare occasion. I feel like I should bust out the champagne to celebrate.
The day for the first milestone of Firefox 3 has already arrived! That's right, Firefox 3 Alpha 1 can be downloaded off of the FTP server but at this time they only have the English version posted. I expect that other languages will be following very shortly so this will be the downloader for those versions, but as of right now only the English-US version is available:
