Today begins the day that Yahoo will be closing down Yahoo Photos, a process that will occur over several months.  When Yahoo photos originally started, Flickr hadn’t yet been acquired.  It seems like at this point, there really isn’t a need for Yahoo to maintain two photo services.

I keep all of my photos organized in a nice hierarchical structure that is difficult or impossible to replicate using only tags. Once Flickr implemented the feature, I knew that it was exactly what I was waiting for.

Flickr Makes Ammends with Pro Users by Launching Collections Feature

At the end of January Flickr sent out emails to all of their users saying that they had until March 15th, 2007 to setup a Yahoo! account that would be used to manage the Flickr service. This caused quite an uproar in the blog community as well as all over the web.

Flickr is now Integrated into MyBlogLog

It was just the beginning of January that Yahoo acquired MyBlogLog for an estimated 10-12 million. We were wondering how long it would take Yahoo to  integrate some of their other acquired services like Flickr. Well, that question has been answered because Flickr has been integrated into MyBlogLog.
