Free Google Reader Desktop App for Mac

Mac only The web-based version of Google Reader is pretty good, but it can be nice to use a desktop app from time to time. On the Mac you would be hard-pressed to find a decent  Google Reader desktop app, but the newly released Cappuccino is exactly that. Improving Your Android Phone’s GPS Reception

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Gio, an entry-level Android smartphone priced at €149 (approx. $212). Overall my experience with the device has been great, but the phone seemed to have trouble picking up the GPS satellites and therefore couldn't pick up a GPS signal in most locations.

MyPaint: Open Source Digital Painting Software

I've never been much of an artist, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to dabble with some of the art-focused software. I'd link to think that a lot of the software would be better served if I had a drawing tablet to tinker with, but I'd say that my mouse skills are probably on par with any hand-drawn creation that I could come up with. Yeah, it's that bad.

Prioritize Network Traffic on a Per-Application Basis

Don't you hate when you're downloading something (namely via BitTorrent) and it renders the rest of your computer nearly unusable. NetBalancer can fix this because it is a Windows program that gives you control over what apps are considered more important than others. You can, for example, designate priority to your web browser instead of your BitTorrent client.
