So many people use Google as their primary search, both geeks and non-geeks alike. It’s simple, and it gets the job done. However, many people don’t take advantage of the advanced search options that Google has included.

For the last 5–hours (maybe more) my Gmail account has been inaccessible, and it is times like these that makes me worry that I could have just lost all of my emails. Sure, I have seen Gmail outages before, but when they are as extensive as this one it really makes me question the stability.

Seeing that Google just opened their doors to new registrations it was a sure thing that they would really start to promote the service. In classic Google fashion they thought outside the box in order to include humor in discussing Gmail's biggest features. Don't understand? Everybody knew this was coming sooner, rather than later, and finally it's here. No more teasing! Google has been slowly releasing Gmail all over the World, and now the process appears to be done.  When you click "Sign up for Gmail", you'll be taken to a page that looks like this:

Gmail has always been my choice of online email clients, but one thing that is frustrating is that HTML signatures aren't supported within the composition area. Well, Gmail can actually handle them there is just no easy way to have the signature automatically inserted with each message...until now.

I think Google enjoys teasing everybody with Gmail. There's always rumors and hints that give the impression that they're about to open up Gmail to everybody.  Take for example the 2800 Digg users in December who Dugg an article saying that Google had opened the registration to everybody.

Google Apps for domains in Beta has provided thousands of small businesses and organizations a way to offload their email systems while keeping their own email addresses, as well as other ways to stay connected and communicate. The benefits of web-based applications continue to increase as these web services become more capable and reliable each year.
