Android Demo Shows off Some Cool Features

Last week Google hosted a conference that was geared towards developers, and during the keynote they showed off some of the cool things that the Android mobile operating system was capable of doing. In it's current state I would say that Android doesn't appear to be quite as polished as the iPhone, but the functionality is definitely awesome.

The Google Android mobile operating system will likely take the mobile industry by storm when it is released. From what I've read they are already lining up handset manufacturers who want to run Android when it becomes publicly available, and it's expected to be available on around a dozen different handsets running it when launched later this year.

Google Android Devices Demonstrated

Right now the Mobile World Congress is going on in Barcelona, and sites like Gizmodo and Engadget are there taking in all of the gadget goodness. Google Android is, as expected, a hot topic of the show. Although still early in development there are some devices available that have been whipped up to serve as a development platform.
