Google has long offered an awesome way for Android users to share links from the desktop to a mobile device. The Chrome to Phone extension is something I've wanted for a while on iOS, but I figured Google wasn't going to make an effort to bring it to iOS.
Last month we covered a great Chrome extension that makes all of your bookmarks available under a single icon in the Chrome toolbar. I primarily used it for fast access to the bookmarks I'd ordinarily place on the bookmarks toolbar, and by using the extension I was able to hide that toolbar thereby giving me a little extra website-viewing space.
A couple months ago we explained how you can disable the GoogleUpdate.exe process on your Windows machine, and today we are showing you how to do the same thing on a Mac. It's definitely a little easier on the Mac side because there is just a single line of code that you need to execute in a Terminal window.
I've been a Chrome user for quite some time now, and I was extremely happy when they added the built-in PDF reader about two years ago. That way when I click to open a PDF it renders very quickly right from within the browser. It does a really good job of making sure my extensions, preferences, themes, bookmarks, passwords, and more are always available to me no matter which computer I'm on. The concern you might obviously have with doing something like that is how secure is your information?

When it comes to Google Chrome I normally use one of the development builds which is generally pretty stable. Unfortunately a few weeks ago I ran into a bug with one the extensions I use a lot, and I had to roll back to a version of Chrome where the bug didn't exist.

It's apparent that Google is never going to update the Google Talk desktop software anymore, and as a result I've been trying to migrate over to using Gmail Chat since that still seems to get updated on a fairly regular basis.
Most browsers will let you view the cookies stored for all the sites you visit, and Google Chrome isn't any different in that regard. This Google help article outlines how you can delete, block, allow, and make exceptions for cookies for any or all sites you visit. Why stop there though? You can take this a step further with the help of an extension.
