Turn-by-Turn Directions on the iPhone for $5.99

There has been good number of turn-by-turn GPS applications released for the iPhone over the last few months including some from big names like Tom Tom and Navigon. Back when Apple announced that they were going to allow apps to offer turn-by-turn directions they said that there would be no limitations other than the fact that developers can't use Google Maps for that functionality.

Apple’s App Store Rumored to Launch on Monday

With the WWDC conference quickly approaching, rumors are running rampant about not only the next iPhone, but also when the App Store will launch. News.com is reporting that Apple is ready to launch the first app on Monday and so people are drawing the conclusion that the App Store will launch on Monday as well.

Google My Location – Look Ma, No GPS!

Google has launched a service called My Location, and it could be a huge breakthrough in mobile mapping technology. My Location is available at no cost to those who use Google Maps on a mobile device, but don't have GPS capabilities built-in. Technicalities aside, it uses cell towers to approximate the location of the user so that it is easier to find out where you are headed.

MySpace is looking to cater to mobile phone users with their new ad-supported mobile version of the social network which launched today at mobile.myspace.com.  It'll be free for users and will work on all U.S. carriers.  MySpace has become such a phenomenon and ranks as one of the most visited sites globally, it makes sense for News Corp. to develop a mobile version.
