Remove “Accessory Connected” Screen from Jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch

Last week I purchased a car interface kit that gives me the ability to hook my iPhone up to the audio system that I have installed in my car. The install went fairly smooth, but I was rather disappointed with the level of control I had over my iPhone using the audio controls on my car.

SimplyTweet: Best Twitter Client for the iPhone

It's not often that I write about iPhone apps, but there are a few reasons why I want to point out SimplyTweet [iTunes links: free or paid]. First, I have to say that it hasn't gotten nearly the amount of recognition that it deserves. It has one of the largest set of features out of any of the Twitter clients on the iPhone.

Push Gmail on the iPhone

I've been waiting a long time for someone to come up with a way to get push notifications on my iPhone for my Gmail accounts, but up until today there wasn't really anything available. Thanks to an iPhone app called Prowl I'm now receiving nearly instantaneous push notifications on my phone.

iPhone 3GS Camera Review

It was a tough decision, but I decided to upgrade my iPhone 3G to the iPhone 3GS. I wasn't sure if the new features would be enough to justify the purchase, but I figured I should be able to sell my iPhone 3G on eBay and recoup a good chunk of the cost. So I pre-ordered the phone, and got it delivered to me last Friday morning.

“Hacked”: Tethering the iPhone 3G on AT&T

When Apple announced that the iPhone would be capable of tethering a computer to the Internet a lot of customers in the U.S. shrugged their shoulders because AT&T wasn't on the list of carriers who were ready to roll the service out.

MyFive: Most Popular Cameras on Flickr 2009

Back in October of 2007, we took a look at the Most Popular Cameras on Flickr. It's been well over a year, and a lot happens in a year's time, so we thought we'd take a look at the current most popular cameras on Flickr. This list gives some interesting insight as to which cameras are popular, at least among the Flickr crowd of photographers.

Backup Music from iPhone or iPod

I've been asked several times how you can get music off of your iPhone or iPod. More often than not it's because something happened to the user's music library on their computer, and they are looking for a way to snag all of their precious music from their iPod before it's completely gone.

Easily Convert Movies to iPhone or iPod MP4 Format

The other day Ward pointed out in the comments a simple little application that's available for Windows users who are looking to convert movies to a video format that the iPhone and iPods can play. We talked about being able to do this using the SUPER video converter, but a lot of you are probably just wanting to go from AVI to MP4. If that's the case the iPodME program is just what you need.

Apple App Store Refund is Possible

A few weeks ago I bought the WunderRadio app for the iPhone because it did something most other Internet radio apps couldn't: play local stations via MMS streams. I flipped through the screenshots and read through the reviews to see if it could play Clear Channel stations (namely KISS FM), and there was plenty of confirmation that the program did.
