XBMC: iPhone and iPad Remote

People have a hard time believing that since I own both an iPhone and an iPad that I decided to build a few home theater PCs (HTPCs) with XBMC rather than getting a few Apple TVs. I was looking for customizability and versatility, which is something the Apple TV doesn't provide.

Run iOS Web Apps in Full Screen Mode (No Address Bar)

When the iPhone first came out there were no third-party applications allowed, and as a result users had to resort to "web apps" as a way to quickly access the tools they used the most. Apple tried to make this a little more convenient by letting them bookmark sites on the home screen, but in the end all that bookmark really did was open a new tab in Safari.

Clementine is a Free Cross-Platform Music Player

Many of you have likely heard of Amarok which is a popular cross-platform music player, and Clementine is a cross platform player that is benefiting from its open source nature. To me it has a clean interface the features people are looking for, such as iPhone syncing. It also includes a slew of other features most people will never even use, such as controlling the player with a Wii Remote.

Best Jailbreak Apps for iPhone and iPad

A few years ago I wrote an article that explained why I found it worth jailbreaking, but at the time there were only a few apps that I found useful. Since that time the jailbreak community has quickly evolved, and has turned into something pretty incredible. Some of the apps we are about to cover have been downloaded millions of times...

Disable iPhone AutoPlay Popup in Windows 7

When I'm at work I always like charging some of my devices while at my desk, and I generally do it through the USB connection on my computer. Some devices, such as the iPhone, will popup each time asking what you want to do with it (unless you have iTunes installed), and this can get pretty annoying since all I'm trying to do is charge my phone.
