I'm sure there are quite a few nerds tech-savvy individuals out there clamoring to get their hands on a computer that uses a Solid State Drive (SSD), but the pricetag is a little daunting. For example, to get a 64GB SSD in the MacBook Air it will run you an extra $1300.

I was recently invited to join a group for HP regarding the future generations of laptops. They want myself, among others, to share our "ideas, designs, thoughts or rants." This is really a great idea, and in a way reminds me of Dell launching the IdeaStorm site.

A few weeks ago there was a conversation going on within our comments regarding the use of solid state drives (SSD) versus hard disk drives (HDD).
