Windows only Back in 2008 we wrote about a free tool called IETester that would let you test a webpage in a variety of Internet Explorer versions. Since that time Microsoft has rolled out new releases of the browser, and the developer of IETester has continued to add support for each one.

I'm sure at some point or another we've all noticed our system slowing down due to a "runaway" application using up all your CPU or memory. Then we go scrolling through the task manager to find and kill whatever that application may be, and then continue on our merry way. If you've found yourself in a situation like that then you may want to take a peek at SystemMonitor.

Core Temp is an app that true geeks sill surely love. It really only does one thing, but does it very well: it reports on the temperature of your processor, and can even grab the temperature of each individual core. A list of the supported processors (current as of September 2010) can be found below, and if yours is on the list I'd say you're in for a real treat.

It's not often that I write about my personal experiences with customer service, but this is one that I thought was worth sharing. I've owned a MacBook Pro for about a year and a half now (it was my first Mac), and the computer has held up amazingly well.
