There is some bad news for those of you taking advantage of free media center software, such as MythTV or Media Portal. As it turns out Zap2it couldn’t continue to provide the television listings that many free media center applications were using.

Remember back in February when TiVo and Amazon announced a partnership to bring movies to TiVo users? At the time, those who wanted to use the service were required to purchase the movies that they wanted from the Amazon website which obviously required the use of a computer.

Earlier this week, TiVo and Verizon joined together to announce TiVo Mobile Scheduling which will allow users to remotely record shows by using their Verizon mobile phone.This means that when you’re miles from home and you realize your favorite show isn’t scheduled to record, you can easily schedule that recording while on the go by searching through the TV listings right from your phone.

Remember the partnership that was announced between TiVo and Netflix which fell through? Now TiVo has entered into another partnership, this time with Amazon to bring movies to TiVo users. This announcement was made yesterday, several hours after Wal-Mart released their version of Video Downloads.
