Demonoid, a popular invite-only BitTorrent tracker, seems to be swimming in some murky waters lately. At the end of September Demonoid was forced to temporarily shutdown by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA), which is equivalent to America's RIAA. They came back online a few days later after installing a system to block all Canadian traffic.

Microsoft has taken the lid off of Vista SP1 (Service Pack 1) by releasing a detailed report of what to expect when it is released. This announcement comes the same day that Microsoft pushed out two of the most important updates since Vista’s release, both of which make significant improvements to the usability of Vista.

It’s hard to believe that after being shutdown for 3-years SuprNova is back up again. Thanks to the Pirate Bay I’ve since been reunited with this long lost friend, who has even been spruced up a bit since I had used it last!

Windows Vista SP1 was known to be in the hands of testers just a few weeks ago, and much like XP SP3 it has been leaked in full form on the file sharing networks. Microsoft was actually pretty smart by making the general public cringe at the idea of installing a leaked copy of Vista SP1. Why? They only offered it to testers as a full 3.1GB Vista installation instead of as a standalone update.

Freespire 2.0 was just released today, and it brings a lot of great things to the table. For starters it uses Ubuntu 7.04 as its baseline, and was built off of that. So you get the benefits of using Ubuntu, but a lot of the proprietary software, drivers, and codecs since it is created by Freespire!

Ahhh, Microsoft definitely has a hard time these days keep downloads behind closed doors. We just announced yesterday that XP SP3 was in the hands of select testers, and now 24-hours later it can be found on the file sharing networks. The information appears to match up to the real thing, but you should be careful because this hasn’t officially been released by Microsoft.
