How to Share Large Files for Free

One of my friends asked me recently if I knew of any way he could share a file with some friends that was over 8GB in size (it was a ZIP of over a thousand photos). Distributing really large files like that can often be a huge pain. All of the normal alternatives aren't really available, such as attaching to an email or some other sites that actually host the files for you.

Video editing is something that can kind of be a pain, and in some cases can even cost a lot of money if you don't already have decent hardware/software to do it. JayCut wants to help with both of those things. A free account will get you 2GB of storage and the ability to export/save up to 20 videos per month. I'd say that is more than sufficient for most people.

Don't you hate when you're downloading something (namely via BitTorrent) and it renders the rest of your computer nearly unusable. NetBalancer can fix this because it is a Windows program that gives you control over what apps are considered more important than others. You can, for example, designate priority to your web browser instead of your BitTorrent client.

Access SkyDrive in Windows Explorer

I love the fact that Microsoft gives users a free 25GB of storage for files through SkyDrive, but I think they're able to do that because they don't provide an easy way for people to upload things. That way most people will never come close to hitting their 25GB limit, but that may change with the free SkyDrive Explorer app.
