Windows Fiji isn’t really Vista SP1 after all

News is buzzing that Windows Fiji really isn’t a codename for Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). Instead, it is the codename for what will become a version of Windows that to be released between Vista and Windows Seven (currently slated for release in 2009).

Windows 7 (a.k.a. Windows Vienna) Feature Insight?

Microsoft just posted the other day that they do not want to give up any details in regard to the next milestone release of Windows. I really don’t blame them for not wanting to disclose any details because that is when they end up pinning themselves in a corner.

Windows Extending XP Support Until 2014

Just because Vista will be the latest Windows operating system doesn’t mean that everybody will run out and upgrade. For one, it’s expensive. Secondly, some people simply don’t like change. Upgrading to the latest operating system is last on their list, especially if they’re still getting used to XP.
