Microsoft SkyDrive Jumps to 25GB Free Online Storage

Microsoft is trying hard to show people that they are serious about online storage, and I'd say they are doing a darn good job of it. They just updated their SkyDrive online file storage service with numerous new features, but more importantly they bumped up the free storage quota from a mere 5GB to 25GB.

Windows Live SkyDrive Launches with 5GB of Storage

Microsoft just publicly launched their Windows Live SkyDrive service which now offers a whopping 5GB of storage at no cost. In the testing stage users were only given 1GB of storage space, and it was only expected that Microsoft would up that to 2GB upon launch. Well, we're happy to say that they proved us wrong.

SkyDrive Storage Limit Doubled

The thing that I don't always get with Microsoft is that when they do something right, they don't go all out. Their Windows Live SkyDrive is definitely one of the best file storage services available because of its powerful and easy-to-mange online interface, but it is very much lacking in storage size.
