Most of you probably know that our blog is powered by WordPress, and last week version 2.7 Beta 1 was released for anyone who felt compelled to try it out. In the past I've never used a Beta version of WordPress on this blog, but I normally give them all whirl in a test environment to make sure they don't leave me begging for mercy in the end.

I've been using Twitter more and more these days, and it has surprisingly become a nice way to communicate with friends. That's one of the reasons why Automattic, the founders of WordPress, decided that they should make their own Twitter using WordPress. I mean why not, WordPress already has posting capabilities so it's all about skinning really.
These days Internet access is available almost anywhere you go. Even if you refuse to pay for wireless Internet through your cellphone carrier, there are normally plenty of hotspots around town for you to stop in on. Once you get connected you can whip out a mobile device, such as a Pocket PC or cellphone, and blog away.
The WordPress team has decided to skip version 2.4 and move right on to 2.5, which is now expected to be released in March. Once released the updated version will cover a big area that hasn't received a lot of attention before: the admin screen.
