lol well Omar...
maybe we can just say that you are young at heart :)
and the "majority" of the gnome team or grandpa's still using their amiga's that love the blocky old style gui's. lol. I dunno... I just can't understand why gnome looks the way it does, it works well, but the design is horrible.

Overall, I like gnome for its stability and how everything just works.... and i like kde for their way of thinking and always wanting to have the latest and the greatest when it comes to looks/funtionality and tweaks.
if only kde and gnome can merge together...? hmmm. lol, not gonna happen.

I take issue with this comment. I'm 61 and can be considered by many as an old man; however I use very modern software, hardware, and gadgets. I've seen computers owned by people much younger than myself with very old software.

I think age is state of mind, and has nothing to do with years. Just ask George Burns if he was an old man. A good question would be: How old is old? :P

Kevin wrote:
That’s not the new theme. If you check the ubuntu alpha site, it tells you that a bug in the current alpha is that it loads the wrong default theme. You can load the new theme out of the appearance menu. It isn’t supposed to be that classic brown that has always been there.

You're right, there is a bug. The bug is that Human Murrine was supposed to ship as the default, but it wasn't completely enabled. I mentioned that in the article.

The theme is NOT drastically different from the current Ubuntu theme.

Much nicer than the one you linked, too dark, bad yellow plus black combination, and it was quite an incomplete shot.
