After I restarted my my system after installing these, I got a message saying that my copy of Vista was illegal and that I should buy my own copy. I couldn’t cancel that message, I could only go to the MS homepage and buy Vista.The only solution was to format and reinstall Vista.

I booted used Safe Mode, but that didn’t work either. Has MS disguised a “crack disabler” in one of these updates cause until now my PARADOX tool worked just fine.

I feel the same way to a point, but they can only do so much before making it widely available. Most people don't jump on board until after SP1 anyways, which was even the case with XP. So I wouldn't say anything is out of the ordinary right now.

All those “fixes” listed should’ve been “fixes” in the originally released product before it saw the light of day.

MS must be laughing at those who bought Ultimate.
