I think Vista is a great operating system with the exception of the Ultimate edition. Anyone that spends the full amount of money on it is insane because the Home Premium is just as good. Honestly the Ultimate edition should have been the Home Premium since the differences are very little.

I’m not sure that their intention was all the great. I’m sure the Microsoft management team understood that there wasn’t going to be all that many extras delivered. I think the hype was driven by a marketing team who didn’t have the ability to delivery on the promises they were making.
