I know that the latest release of iTunes had fixed many of the Vista issues except for this one. If you are running the latest version of iTunes and also have this update installed I think it should work rather smoothly.

It might be unrelated but it just doesn’t want to sync. I had to reinstall the firmware several times to get it to work at all and I still have to manage the songs manually. I keep my main music library on an XP machine but I use my iPod to move files around a lot and it was hooked up to a Vista computer shortly before it died.

So that’s what the iTunes/Vista problem was. I guess that explains why my iPod has been acting up.
