Microsoft has announced that they will no longer be offering Virtual PC for Mac computers. While this may seem disappointing for some people you will soon have your hopes revived. VMWare is currently accepting registration for users to Beta test the Mac version of their virtualization software. By registering you can be among the first people to try out this awesome release later this year!
I would much rather see VMWare enter this market over Microsoft because of the experience that they already have. The only thing that will keep Virtual PC afloat is the fact that Microsoft is offering it for free for Windows users. A Vista compatible version of Virtual PC will also be released in late 2006 or early 2007 at no cost.

Macs do most of the windows thing anyway, and even if you needed to do some win work there’s boot camp. I guess MS is feeling the nip on their heels from apple.
I figure after MS bought Virtual PC they didn’t have the people “Onboard” that could actually make it work to their advantage…
Just a thought… hehe
[parallels.com] is out and running. Works great from what I’ve seen.
I haven’t heard of that before but it does look like it gets the job done. A funny thing that I noticed though was that under their “Media Highlights” on the homepage they have a link to an article on the VMWare for Mac.
