I don't think they should both be white. The login/register/search buttons should be more of the same color as the home, send us tip etc buttons. Those buttons should have more rounded edges as well. I don't really like the gold colors, but you said you're changing that anyways so doesn't matter. Agreed @ logo neededing a change. Also the header needs something else...it's just so empty. I really like what you've done with the login/register thing on your side bar..looks nice. Actually, I guess not that much darker but we’re using some gradients and stuff so that things, like the sidebar headers, look a little shiny. Slightly Web 2.0ish and not so dull like they currently are.
