Otherwise you can click "Yes" to setting Firefox as the default browser when it prompts you and you'll think that it worked, but it will silently fail since the application doesn't have permission to change the default browser. What it should (and will) do is prompt the user for permission to change the default browser when the user clicks "Yes".
