I think the employees are pretty dedicated to their jobs, so I’m sure a large majority of their time is spent at the office. After all, their Google Apps for your Domain service has 24-hour phone support in case you need it (for the people who pay for it). Someone has to be there to answer the phone.

As long as they don’t slave you to death. I worked for a similar company that gave away so many nice perks, but they don’t do that for “free”. They expect something in return, i.e. to be there for important dates, schedules etc. I remember when a product was trying to be finished for an important ship date…man, over Christmas the programmers had to literally sleep in their offices for 4-5 days straight to get it done. Perks are nice but I don’t wanna work myself to death for gourmet meals.

YES! Google will hopefully be my next job after Microsoft this summer.
