I actually don't consider myself liberal or conservative and I have never voted strictly republican or strictly democrat. In fact, I voted for Bush. There, I said it.

It shouldn’t even be necessary for liberals to take this “quiz,” since your important issues, Ashley, are the bread-and-butter of the Democrats. They are advocates of bigger government, and support expansion of government powers into health care (a mistake), education (mistake, but wow, it’s had wonderful results so far), and the environment (mistake, but OwlGore and his merry band of thieving liars are propagandizing GlowBall Worming to the people who don’t know that environmental issues are largely a farce). It’s a joke that liberals can find so many issues like those in the screencap above to be concerned about, after blaming Bush and his minions of eroding civil liberties and freedoms, lo these many years. Your top 3 issues, if taken up by the Dem candidates, will directly result in restrictions of freedoms. But hey, why take personal responsibility for your own life when you can get the government to do it for you? Redistribution of wealth isn’t a bad thing when you aren’t the one footing the bill, huh?</blockquote></div>
I've never been one to get into politics to be honest, and I'm not about to here either. The purpose of this article was to inform our readers about the site where they could go, if they wanted, to learn more about the candidates. We're all entitled to our own opinions. Wouldn't it be boring if everybody always agreed on everything?

@skh.pcola:

Discussing political issues is sometimes very difficult because in the heat of the discussion facts become blurry. Having said that, I firmly believe that environmental issues are not political issues. They are related to our environment and the natural factors that sustain life here on Earth.

The scientific community is very alarmed and are doing all they can to tell the political leaders of the world that were're running out of time. You can believe them or not. That doesn't mean the problem will go away.

Glaciers are melting at increasing rates, sea levels are rising flooding extensive coastal areas like Bangladesh, for example. Here in Panama in a place called "Costa Abajo" whole communities gather every week near the sea to pray in an effort to calm the rising seas. They don't know what to do except pray in large groups.

Whole neighborhoods have disappeared by ferocious rising waves. I'm afraid this is just the beginning. Global warming and climate change is not a hoax. Take a look of what is going on around the planet and you will see the writing is on the wall.

Just my 2 cents on this extremely sensitive issue.

Regards,

Omar.-
